Flash on Product Page? Newbie

Our design team is considering this product for an upcoming job. The
client needs unique flash files for each product. Here is a competitors
page:

http://www.deesignca.com/Deesign/Design ... rsonalized

I need to insert a flash file that is dependant upon the text fields on
an accompaning form on the page. All the while maintaining the
integrity of the ecommerce process.

Can SHOPSITE do this?

I have found a SHOPSITE website at:
http://swankmartini.com/shopsite_sc/sto ... uct78.html

that uses Flash. I'm wondering how this works?

Thanks in advance!

Joey

ShopSite doesn't care what kind of image or media you put on a page. It
just generates the page as a static html. As long as you can create the
javascript to get the variables from your form to the code that causes
the flash image to display it should work. Take a look at the html
source of the page you are trying to emulate and see if you can see what
code they use. You can then just put that source in your ShopSite
template or in one of the ShopSite database fields that display on the page.

ShopSite also works great with DYNAMIC pages. ShopSite itself doesn't
display it's content dynamicallly but you can use .php extensions and
connect w/ databases such as MySQL to do all sorts of things. They don't
just have to be static HTML pages for them to work in ShopSite.

As long as you have the page and product templates coded properly
ShopSite can generate pages that do all sorts of things using CSS,
JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, Flash, etc.

Joey,

That is some of our handy work at SWANK.

Ok here is what we did. We created the flash module and put it online in a
folder which all product refer to via a custom template. We then used the
extra fields in 7.0 pro to put in the image name and the number of images
that the flash should expect. It was not really that hard and the people in
the marketing dept can update the site themselves via the product
interface...

I have requestd that the next version of shop site have 12 extra fields for
data.. WE can do a whole lot more.
