Amazon Payments

Postby powerstream » Mon Jul 28, 2014 4:03 pm

I am dreaming of an addition to my "payment type" dropdown box of Amazon Payments as well as Paypal, MC, AMX, etc.

However, from my reading of ShopSite features it looks like my only option is Amazon Checkout.

Is this true?

Currently only the "Checkout by Amazon" method is implemented in ShopSite.

Considering the success we have had with Paypal, and formerly Google Checkout, this may be the most important new feature that you could offer, speaking for our business.

Can you help me understand what you do not like about the Checkout by Amazon feature? Are you wanting another Amazon payment method or just for it to be in a pull-down option. Vendors such as PayPal and Amazon require their checkout button to be displayed for certain payment methods.

With Checkout by Amazon the customer has to leave my site and be redirected to Amazon.

With Amazon Payments the customer can use their address and payment method stored on Amazon
on my website without having to be redirected to Amazon. Similar to PayPal. Less disruptive and it
gives the appearance of a PayPal transaction rather than moving to another website
to take care of payment. I don't mind having an extra button like PayPal uses.

Sorry, I meant PayPal Express, not PayPal Standard, etc.

Here is what I need clarifcation on - WHY is the Shopsite integration guide outdated without ANY of the proper terms, or locations that amazon uses reflected in the guide. The Shopsite guide for V11 and V12 are incorrect. Please advise. Thank you.

Amazon has recently made changes to the Amazon seller accounts pages. For some accounts the old design is present and for others there is a different layout. I'm guessing that this is what you are referring to?

You have had another year to ponder this, what is preventing you from acting on it?

Actually we are currently beta testing our Pay With Amazon integration. If you are interested in being a beta site send me a private message.

Churchsupplier.com has been using the new Pay by Amazon feature as a beta for just over a month now and it has been working well for us.
