During WIN upgrade to 12 get check_reports_db() returned FAL

I am upgrading the WIN install to v12sp4 in preparation for a move to a Linux v12sp4 install, and got this error:

check_reports_db() returned FALSE

After turning the store back on in IIS, the store is up (AFAIK), but the admin panel throws an error - 'Error importing orders file'.

I've got the 'old' data/ folder backed up. Will I compound the problem by overwriting with the old settings?

Solved.

I did not have one of the stores in the mall stopped in IIS.
