default shipping option

default shipping option

So I went to the commerce setup > shipping page and selected under "Default selected shipping option" "none."

But it still always pre-selects the "free shipping" option. I suppose it is because Shopsite is set up
to do that no matter what how the "Default selected shipping option" is selected.

This doesn't work so well for us. I would rather have the customer be forced to select an option.

any ideas?

It is likely because your shipping was selected, then you changed the setting, but your shipping selection was already saved in your cart, so ShopSite isn't going to 'un-select' the shipping in your cart. I would suggest try emptying your cart and re-adding something to see if that clears your cart settings, or just try adding something to your cart in a different browser.
