Customizing Cart Buttons

Postby Mister.44 » Thu Oct 06, 2005 4:23 pm

OMG. My head is sore from beating it against a wall all day.

I made custom buttons for the carts "Remove" "Empty Cart" "Check Out" and
"Submit Order".

Both the Check Out and Empty Cart buttons work fine no problem. Of course I
am doing this by uploading the image first, then assigning the image in the
Preferences > Store Text section.

But Remove and Submit Order WILL NOT render. I have tried deleting the
image, re-uploading the images, switching form text to image, and
re-creating the image from scratch and re-uploading it. (and just about
every combo there of).

The only clue I have is that the buttons that work will display the file
size if you view its properties. The buttons that DONT work have "unknown -
not cached" for the file size. I figured this is why it is not displaying -
but I am at a lost as to WHY this is happening. I keep removing, remaking,
and reuploading, thinking there was an error. Nothing has fixed it yet and I
am at a lost.

Anyone know what gremlin has my number?

Is the link. The HTML for the remove button is:
<input type=image

align="bottom" border="0" name="Remove:0" alt="Remove">Hmm - that is why the
button doesn't work. Check out the button that does work:<input type=image

align="bottom" border="0" name="Checkout" alt="Checkout" tabindex="4"
onClick="return(CheckIt(8,0));" >
Sooo - for some reason sometimes it is going to cruzio.com/etc rather than
kusp.org/etc.Cruzio is the site host. I am guessing one button doesn't go to
the proper place because it is looking for secure images?Thanks for the

Was the store moved or originally installed at the cruzio domain and
then moved to the kusp domain? If so you might try going to the Images
screen, select the image that doesn't work and Edit Image Attributes to
see what they are set to. If they are not for the kusp domain try the
Reset image attributes and see if that fixes it.

Steve,

Please email Cruzio support or give us a call and we can explain where
on the server you need to upload images that you want to appear in the
secure part of the form.

I'd rather not post it here, because it is specific to Cruzio customers.

Thanks.

You don't know how right you are with that Mister.44

I should post the surreal nightmare of a circle of false logic and
misinformation I'm going through at the moment with my hosting provider
at the moment.

They can't seem to understand that I need them to tell me how to upload
images to a secure directory.

It boggles the mind...

this is the latest useless response I got, good for a laugh I think...
we thank you for your patience during this delay.
It is not showing the images in checkout page.
It is only showing the default "submit order"
and "return to cart" buttons. We are not sure
which images to be put there. If you wants to
put an image he needs to go to preferences -
store text -> checkout and add the images there.
Thank you again for your patience, and please
let us know if we may assist you further in any way.

Sheesh...all I can say is that I'm grateful this isn't a critical issue
for me and that I have "bigger fish to fry" at them moment. Otherwise, i
think I would have had an aneurysm by now. : (
