customer e-mail receipts in ShopSite7 Starter

Hello. I've been to the Shopsite help support and read that Shopsite7
Starter package, which is what I use, has customer e-mail receipts. But
darn if I can find it.

All I can find is information on the Merchant Notifications. But I find
nothing on how to turn on customer e-mail receipts.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with this?

Customer e-mail receipts are standard, they can't be turned off or on.

Try placing a test order in your store and you will see that you get a
receipt as the merchant and another as the shopper.

Customer e-mail receipts are standard, they can't be turned off or on. Try
placing a test order in your store and you will see that you get a receipt
as the merchant and another as the shopper.

Hello Jim and thanks for your response. I wish you were correct. I often
have customers write me asking if their order went through because they do
not get any notification. When I first installed ShopSite I did do test
orders but never got any e-mail notification. But just to make sure, I just
did a test order and I did not get an e-mail receipt.

The most I can offer them is the Thankyou page.

Nor do I get Merchant Notifications, but I don't care so much about this
because I keep records of the credit card transactions.

If you and your shoppers are not receiving the email receipts then this
is likely a technical issue with your server's mail system or your
ShopSite's mail settings were incorrectly configured by whomever
installed it. You should report this issue to your hosting provider.
