Slow processing

I have had several customers complain lately that the shopping
cart hangs up during the purchasing process.

Where should I look to solve this problem?

Can you pin this down any further? Is there a specific point at which
they experience this, or is it at ever step? If it is the whole thing,
then you probably want to talk to your host and see if your server is
low on resources, or if it was at the time the shoppers experienced
this, anyway.
