PC to iMac

I'm thinking of replacing one of our three PCs with an iMac. I'm being told by our local Apple dealer that when operating in Windows 7 mode with Apple's Bootcamp, that all three computers will be compatible and that I can continue using our PC software on each with no issues.

I would appreciate hearing from others who have moved to Apple and what impacts have been experienced.
