Structure of the products.db file

Postby Guy Vider » Mon Dec 24, 2001 9:58 am

Hi,
We have Shopsite 4.2 installed (on a SUN) and we'd like to transfer the
order details
to another system, rather then Transact.
So far:
1) we've gathered that only order.cgi does this by reading
the product parameters from the products.db file and building a DO.
2) We haven't managed to parse the products.db file in order th find out the
item numbers.

We'd like to replace the order.cgi with an alternate cgi which will receive
an item num and forward the item details to a seperate system.
Does anyone has any idea?

Please reply by email, if possible, and/or here

Thanks,

The structure of the db's is proprietary, and mucking around with it is
not recommended. I am no lawyer, but I would also imagine that it
violates the licensing agreement to attempt to modify ShopSite program
files or database files.
