QB invoice issue

Postby Mark J. Kroska » Fri May 21, 2004 10:41 am

I'm using ShopSite 7.0.5 Pro store and doing QuickBooks .iif imports for
billing and shipping.
2 of the products in the store have custom text fields that a customer can
specify per order. We created 2 product SKUs and the customer is able to
enter that information and it appears on the ShopSite invoice, but not on
the QuickBooks invoice. I researched the .iif file format just a bit and
found that the extra product information was not being sent to QuickBooks as
part of the .iif file.

Questions:
Is there a somewhat painless way to get it into QuickBooks? (I found the
Import section in QB...Yikes!)
How flexible is the IIF file format from the ShopSite side? (getting the
extra field into the description field)
Is there a better way to setup the Product SKU for gathering this info in
QB?

I appreciate the help!
Mark
