Shopper Selected Tax

Last question for the moment : I'm trying to figure out if we can somehow
pass the correct shopper selected tax through to shopsite so that it will
automatically come up with the correct settings for the customer.
Currently, we write a cookie that passes the customer name and address to
shopsite from our customer application. It would be helpful if we could
also somehow pass the correct tax status.

Any ideas?
