Width of Shopping Cart Cells

Postby Brandon Eley » Wed Sep 08, 2004 12:58 pm

The width of our shopping cart cells is somehow really out of whack.
Take a look - www.2bigfeet.com - just add an item to the cart to see
what I'm talking about. It does it for both IE and Mozilla/Firefox.

All the cell widths are really large except the product name which
should be. Any idea why this might be happening?

We're using 6.3.3 so don't have the ability to make a custom shopping
cart template yet... this is just the standard shopping cart with a
header and footer.

Thanks,

Have you customized / modified the tables in the cart by
placing html tags in the text fields in the back office?

We have not customized the shopping cart or added any HTML to text
fields on the back office other than the occasional bold tag (<b>). I
looked just to make sure and couldn't find anything.

Any other ideas?

Brandon,

I have studied this problem and have concluded that it is a bug with
ShopSite in versions 6.3.x ( I don't know about 7.x versions ).
I did develop a way which solves most of the problems by using some html
coding in the back office coupon configuration section.
The only thing it does not do is to decrease the width of the "Quantity"
field.
Everything lines up vertically and looks much better.

I don't normally use coupons but I have set one up for you to try on my
site, go to this page
http://www.specialmart.com/store/product1012.html
add it to the cart and the coupon is "kim" (without the double quotes).

If you think it would work for you let me know.
