How can Shopsite support discount structure based on user ID or login?. I
have several customers who need to buy at different price structures. Does
Shipsite support this?.

Welcome to the club :)

Unfortunately, Shopsite does not currently support this functionality. You
can contact their development team to arrange for a fee-based implementation
of 'mirror stores' - one store for retail, one for wholesale, etc.

Actually, it could be done in ShopSite Pro depending on how complex your
discount structure is, and how many different discount structures you have.

If each of your discount structures is just a flat percentage off all
products, then just make a coupon for that percentage for each discount
structure. Then in Customer Registration you can create a group for this
discount level, and assign the coupon to the group and the particular
registered users to the group (if your customers that get these
discounts haven't already registered, you may need to do it for them and
send them their username and password). Then when that particular user
logs in, they automatically get this coupon discount applied in their
cart because of the group they are assigned to.

If you have different discount structure for your different customers,
then you would just create a different coupon and different group for
each on of them.

It gets more difficult when you have different levels of discounts for
different products in your store (i.e. 5% for some, 10% for others), but
you can create multiple coupons and assign the specific products to them
that fall in those different categories, and then assign multiple
coupons to your groups.

It gets virtually impossible if instead of percentages your discount is
a set amount for each individual product so that they don't conform to a
few set percentages, because then it is possible that you would have to
make hundreds of different coupons to describe all of the different
discounts your products can have, and assign those products to the
various coupons and the various coupons to the various groups. Not only
could this get tedious in this instance, but it could also look ugly in
the shopping cart to have 100's of coupons added to it when the shopper
logs in.

This is a much better explanation. My situation happens to fall in the
'virtually impossible' category Loren mentioned.

If you have a simple discount structure, the coupon functionality works very
well.

With ShopSite Pro, you could also get creative with a variable
price/sku/name product, and have an independent registration system that
could create on the fly products, prices, and skus based on the discount
that the registered user should receive. It would be complicated, but could
allow a flexible solution to have random discounts on a per user basis.
