Multiple Ordering Options

Is it possible to provide multiple Ordering Options with a product? We
have TWO (2) pieces of text information that we would like to pass
through the shopping cart.

Drop-down menus aren't really conducive to the problem at hand.

Thanks much,
Eddie

Ordering options are probably the only way to pass variable information
through the shopping cart from a store page. You can create as many
ordering options as you need by separating the option lists by a blank
line in between the types of options. For example for 2 options with
size and color you would enter this in the order option text box
large
medium
small

red
green
blue

If the information isn't product specific and you have a Pro store you
can use the custom checkout fields on the Billing/Shipping screen to
collect information from the shopper.

Jim, thanks for the info, but it doesn't seem to work for me. All the
text in the Ordering Options gets treated as a single block of text.

Note: Your suggestion works fine for the drop-down menus, but not the
ordering options.

I'm using ShopSite Pro v7.1.1.

Any thoughts?

I guess I don't understand what you are trying to do. If you are trying
to have the shopper enter 2 separate text messages for a product that is
not possible. There is the "Customer Text Entry:" field which can be
enabled for a product so that they can enter some text for each product
in the shopping cart, but It can only be displayed once per product.
The only other text that gets passed through with the order is the order
option dropdown items selected.

If you can give an example of what you are trying to do it might be
easier to see if there is some other way to do it.
