I was wondering how other people handle out of stock items. I wrote a template that basically removed the order button and when a product is out of stock so people cannot order it but is there another way to let people know the product is out of stock. I guess there is no way to do a graphic overlay on top of the product image. I am curious as to what other people to or how they handle this. I want to do something graphically since most people do not read when you put something in the text.

If anyone has an example that would be helpful too.
