positioning shopping cart information

I'm trying to move the navigation bar and the shopping cart info down about 225 px on the page.

I've used css and positioning tags to move the table in the shopping cart but it is not having an effect.

other html tags are positioning in the document correctly using the css file. It just looks like the code I copied to the document from shopsite is not picking up on the css.

Am I missing something?

The shopping cart screens typically have their own .css files so the styles from regular pages might not be used in the shopping cart screens. One reason for this is that some screens in the checkout process need to go to secure urls and the css from store pages probably wouldn't access the files using a secure url. That would lead to warning about non-secure items on a secure page, causing panic in most shoppers.

Check the html source of the shopping cart screens and see what styles are being used and then modify your code to use those styles, or add your own styles.
