quantity pricing

Is there a way to show the original price and the discounted price on the shopping cart when the discount has been applied??

No, the shopping cart just displays the price that will be charged.
There is an option on Commerce Setup > Order System > Shopping cart - "Display how much the customer has saved" that will put a total of discounts from coupons, free rewards and discounts (from Merchandising >Discounts > Discount Schedule) But it will not include discount because of sale prices or quantity discount amounts.
