Custom products

Is there a way in shopsite to have a customer customize their product and then view it. for example.. we sell party favors and i want to be able to let the customer choose the font, text and then view it. is that a feature that is possible in shopsite?

That is not something that is included out of the box. There have been merchants who created special pages that have a form to input the information and javascript to manipulate it and show what the shopper input in some special way. The input fields can be passed to the shopping cart along with the form data using the field "freeopt".
