Delayed Sending of Gift Certificates

Hello Shopsite friends.

Is there any way to send gift certificates out of shopsite with delayed (future) delivery?

We get this request every year: "please don't deliver until xmas!".. this means one of us (me!) has to keep track of gift certificates that are unsent, then log in on xmas or xmas eve to send a bunch of them.

Any way to automate this delayed delivery? If not, it would be a nifty feature to add.

Besides being useful for delivering on date-specific occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc,) it could also be used to semi-automate gift certificate sending.

For instance, if you're concerned about gift certificate fraud in your store, instead of turning off automatic gift certificate emailing, you could set it to automatically email but with a 72 hour delay. That would allow for order review, and you could just override the exceptions.
